A group of us're heading out on a thing,
nothing much to it, don't take it wrong,
it's just they've never heard me sing.
Want to come along?
Ag'll be coming with one of her friends,
yes, Jennifer too, two maybe three more
or less, wherever we'll end up depends.
That matters what for?
It'll likely be that coffeehouse I prefer
with an open mike and people I know
who'll tell you, "I feel just like her."
Really, want to go?
I've a few new ones ready for tonight,
nothing much to them, don't expect alot
since I don't sing any better than I write.
