Quietly Done

Quietly Done

Tomorrow, only then
As pilots touch their skies,
As masters pour disciples from their kilns,
When those still free to travel oil their soles,
I will find you where your words were dreamt.

Will you hear me read your words aloud?
You have new lines on your face
Where the weight of our loss
Crease the afternoon into
Pauses, empty breaths.
