No Good Use

No Good Use 

"Slow down!" Yeah yeah, I will
and you can save that to repeat after I don't,
that and "How's that taste?"
and "Hey, something just moved . . ."
The time I take to hear won't go to waste,
like, "Be still"
with both my hands pressing at your throat
to make it do what mine won't
to feel loved
and recognized and loose
while every word for us your conscience wrote
is put to no good use.

    Oh! I've been recognized!
"Quick, hide!"  Yeah I know the routine,
that too, along with "Bad girl!"
and "Just wait until we get home . . ."
I never was cut out to play the pearl —
don't act surprised
that once thought precious now I'm just confused
at what I'm thought to mean
yet can't become
unless exclusively possessed,
controlled, restricted, dominated, used,
"One Lovely" already branded on my breast.
